Discussion | Screening

RISE invites you to a screening of First Contact, a new reality show that takes six Canadians, on a unique 28-day exploration of what it means to be Indigenous in Canada. The show’s participants were chosen because of their opinions of Indigenous Peoples and the journey was intended to challenge their viewpoints.

All three 45-minute episodes in the series will be screened back-to-back, followed by a discussion featuring two local participants from the show.

Tickets are $10 each and available for purchase online and in-person from Metro Cinema. A small number of complimentary tickets will be available at the door on a first come basis.

Doors will open at 5:30 PM. Complimentary tea and bannock will be served.

Thank you to Numan Films, McIntyre Media, MacEwan University, City of Edmonton, and Edmonton Heritage Council for supporting this event.
