RISE Book Club

Started in 2015, the RISE Book Club is another way for people to engage with reconciliation through learning. Currently the RISE Book Club features several books each season, running September to June, with self-directed reading and a virtual event with the author.

What We’re Reading

RISE Book Club readers are encouraged to read Stories of Métis Women: Tales My Kookum Told Me, which is also available as an audiobook, and consider the reading guide questions. Then you are invited to the RISE Book Club virtual event on March 12th, where we will gather to discuss the book and its stories.

Join us virtually on March 12th, 2022 at 3 pm.

All ages are welcome to join us. This event is offered in partnership with Edmonton Public Library.

Click here to register for our winter book club event. The event will be held virtually, and space is limited. As a result, only those who register with their name and email will receive the ZOOM link to participate.

Where to find a copy:

Stories of Métis Women: Takes My Kookum Told Me is available from Edmonton Public Library to borrow or to purchase from the Glass Book Shop with a discount using code RISE15.
