In 2016, volunteers on the RISE Programming Committee set out to challenge the notion of what it means to be Indigenous in Edmonton. The result of their work is “Walk With Me”, an interactive audio installation to share the stories of our neighbours, colleagues and friends in reconciliation. The exhibit channels the voices of 12 Indigenous people who make their home in Edmonton and shows the breadth of ways they contribute to our community.
Since its launch, “Walk With Me” has been exhibited at Boyle Street Plaza, several Edmonton Public Library locations, Augustana Library, and Morinville Public Library.
Walk With Me is currently on display at the Strathcona Branch of Edmonton Public Library and will be traveling to Mill Woods Branch and Highlands Branch later this summer.
